Toledo

After an interesting train ride from Irun, France, to Madrid, we caught a bus to Toledo, formerly the capital of Spain.

Toledo is surrounded on three sides by the river and a man-made wall on the fourth side.  The photograph at top was our first view of Toledo.  With a little help from my computer, I was able to crop two photos together to create this panoramic view of the city.

We visited the Sinagoga Santa Maria La Blanca while we were in Toledo.  This flower garden attracted my attention.

I learned so much of Spain's history, I don't know what to do with all of it.  America's history pales in comparison.

Spain left an impression on me as the country with the most cathedrals and statues.  From left to right, a statue at Real Alcazar, the cathedral at Palacio Real and the statue of Calderon de la Barca at Santa Ana Plaza.
